Hastings Castle is probably the most iconic landmark in Hastings, a prominent location on top of West Hill, and visible from most of Hastings area.

The castle you see today is in ruins and about half of the original castle.

The castle was built by William the Conqueror in 1067 and is Britain’s first Norman Castle.
